Shipping marketing comms is hard because coordination across product, engineering, design, and marketing is complex. We're building tools to improve cross-functional collaboration and simplify the experience for everyone involved.
As any organization scales, the scope of what each person is responsible for inevitably narrows - this leads to several teams being spun up to solve highly specialized problems. While each team is undoubtedly delivering tons of value in their domain, simple cross-functional tasks almost seem impossible due to the number of stakeholders involved.
Enter the email. For a startup of 10 people, shipping an email is a trivial task, and product teams often fall into the trap of believing that. For an enterprise of 500+ people, it’s a 2-month cross-functional effort. The reason why has to do with the number of stakeholders involved:
The desire for a product team to move quickly is immediately ground to a halt when met with the realities of operating within an enterprise. Marketing teams need to maintain consistent omnichannel messaging and branding for the enterprise, but struggle to work at the speed and flexibility of the product team/startup within it.
We’re developing a new home for marketing teams’ cross-functional efforts to streamline collaboration and development of marketing comms.
